Service Organizations

I recommend getting a service officer to assist you with your claim. Service Organizations can
  • Help file initial claims
  • Provide one-on-one assistance,
  • Decipher VA correspondence;
  • Help complete subsequent claims documentation,
  • Determine the types of evidence that will supports claims,
  • Help locate needed evidence,
  • Obtain copies of needed records,
  • Provide representation before VA hearings officers and/or boards,
  • Provide representation before the Board of Veterans Appeals for denied claims and
  • Provide assistance with discharge upgrades for other than honorable discharges from the U.S. Armed Forces.
